Job Advert: Sales Executive

We are looking for an energetic, person who is passionate about sales to join our customer care team.

The key responsibilities of the role holder will include but not limited to;

Business Development

  • Product awareness: Creating awareness on Clique’s products in a bid to bring new customers on board and to increase our offering to existing customers;
  • Industry Sales events: Representing the company in the industry events to create product knowledge with a view of creating more sales;
  • Targets: Developing sustainable sales strategies and targets for Nairobi region;
  • Sales plan: Develop and execute sales plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure profit growth and expansion of Clique’s products;
  • Competitor analysis: Monitoring competitor performance and devising interventions to improving company offering;

Client relationship management

  • Building and promoting client relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs and turning these into business;
  • Sustaining rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities;
  • Clients list: Generate a client’s profile list;

Customer Care Executives supervision

  • Sales planning: Coordinating sales planning/forecasting/preparation for team meetings and discussions with the Customer Care Executives
  • Training: Develop training programs and coordinate trainings for the Customer Care Executives
  • Staff meeting: Conducting regular meetings with Customer Care Executives to ensure they are meeting sales expectations and set sales targets;
  • Staff targets: Making sure the Customer Care Executives have daily & weekly sales plans in place and motivating them to reach the set targets
  • Stock inventory: Ensuring that stock records are updated to maintain accurate inventory ensuring stock availability as per the client’s requirements;
  • Performance evaluation: Conducting Performance appraisal of the Customer Care Executives;

Sales Performance Reports

  • Generating and submitting sales forecasts, sales budgets, pending orders reports and overdues reports;
  • Perform any other duties that as may be assigned from time to time by your supervisor

Skills and Competencies

  • Degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or related fields.
  • 3 years solid track record in Sales and Business Development
  • Good financial management and reporting experience
  • In depth knowledge of the hospitality sector
  • Experienced manager of people, with track record of managing a team
  • Demonstrated record of revenue and profit growth and new business development experience

Knowledge and experience

  • Experience in selling, customer management, delivery of a regional budget.
  • Clique’s product knowledge across all our categories
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office applications (e.g. Excel etc)
  • Strong customer Service skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication Skills
  • Sound supervisory skills; ability to lead and motivate others
  • Efficiency and sound organization skills
