FKE Training Officer Job in Kenya

The Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) is the national umbrella organisation for employers in Kenya and its key mandate is to promote the interests of employers. FKE seeks to ensure that national labour and social policy provides an environment favourable to enterprise sustainability and job creation.

We are seeking to engage a dynamic and results driven professional to fill the position of Training Officer.

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Manager, FKE Consulting Department, the incumbent will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of the entire training cycle / function

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze client requirements and develop effective training programs to bridge the identified gaps;
  • Scout for assignments and submit proposals and bid/tenders
  • Attend any client briefing meetings; pre-assignment, during and post-assignment;
  • Conduct training needs analysis, research and development and delivery of training programs and materials;
  • Mobilize participants and maintain client data base for future use and constant follow-up on the services rendered;
  • Provide repository and internal link mechanisms between the various FKE training programs;
  • Manage and synthesize information to and emanating from other departments;
  • Conduct post-training evaluation analysis and prepare various periodical reports;
  • Contribute in Development of Performance Management Systems
  • Participate in Execution Selection & Recruitment
  • In charge of departmental documentation and record keeping including training information, various reports and other correspondence;
  • Provide periodical support to the other Units within and outside the Department whenever required

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelors degree in Education, HR, Psychology, Industrial Relations or equivalent;
  • At least 5 years experience gained in a HR generalist role and/or busy training environment;
  • Professional qualifications from a recognized institution;
  • Analytical and strong organizational skills;
  • Good leadership and people-management skills;
  • Attention to detail, high energy level with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highest level of personal and professional integrity;
  • Flexibility with ability to work long hours and meet strict deadlines
