Our client is a leading microfinance software development company that aims to assist companies and organizations by developing cost effective customized applications to enable them streamline their daily operations.

As part of expansion strategy, they are looking for the following positions.

Project Assistant

Overall Responsibility: The role holder shall Provide professional sales and technical support and build relationships with customers while maintaining good rapport with the customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to data collection and management procedures to prepare, collect, record and input data;
  • Collect annual reports and detailed budgets for proposal inclusion;
  • Coordinate with external vendors and schedule appointments;
  • Oversee vendor performance to ensure timelines and quality;
  • Maintain automated databases to report and comply;
  • Develop reports and correspondence independently;
  • Research new equipment purchases and recommend supervisor’s consideration;
  • Coordinate travel needs, schedules and meetings and develop documents and monitor activities;
  • Manage project file systems and involve in project related calls;
  • Ensure proper state of change requests and document them;
  • Interact with engineering managers, engineers and technicians to create documentation;
  • Handle new projects set up and take off and support preparation of close out documents;.
  • Coordinate with project teams on tasks as per objectives;
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly project reports;
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards;

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent organizational skill;.
  • Some knowledge of project management software e.g. PRINCE2;
  • Good IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project;
  • A flexible approach and the ability to work effectively with others;
  • Attention to detail with an ability to work autonomously and with appropriate reference to more senior colleagues;
  • Experience of working in a pressured environment and effectively managing competing demands in short timescales;
  • Experience of working as part of a team delivering complex tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in a relevant or related field;
  • A diploma or certificate in project management will be an added advantage;
  • At least 2 years experience as a project assistant;
  • Proficiency in MS office suite applications.
