Position: Marketing Executive

Reporting to: Head of Marketing

Location: Nairobi – Kenya

Our client, a market leader in Hospitality Industry is urgently looking to hire a talented and aggressive Marketing Executive to be In-charge of one of their Brand.

Duties and Responsibilities:

He/she will be responsible for the production and execution of marketing programs that are strategically aligned with business goals to drive brand growth for the establishment by performing the following duties;

  • Providing strategic input into overall company business development
  • Maximising company revenue through effective marketing interventions
  • Organizing and managing promotional traditional or digital marketing events/ activities/ exhibitions, booking venues and attending them to facilitate their required success
  • Collation, coordinating, ordering marketing materials and the production and delivery of a wide range of marketing materials, information and communications to all the complexes in time
  • Scheduling/planning, composing and sending promotional messages to customer database on time
  • Conducting market research, analyse and monitor competitor activities, consumer rating reports/ questionnaires
  • Employing marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.)
  • Being a key brand ambassador of the marketing function within the regions
  • Writing marketing literature (brochures, press releases etc.) to augment the company’s presence in the market
  • Managing process of sending pertinent information and correct marketing materials to appropriate outlets on request and on time
  • Managing and communicating with various suppliers to encourage trusting relationships and pertinent deliveries are done on time
  • Updating all the marketing materials, information on time
  • Routine outlet visits to ensure that all the marketing materials, displays are updated and correct
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the marketing function

Key Competencies & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or any other relevant discipline from a recognized institution
  • Member, Marketing Society of Kenya
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in Corporate Strategy, General Management, Brand Management, at either (or ideally both) a strategy consulting firm, QSR or Retail Marketing
  • Track record of success in developing marketing strategies for consumer companies
  • Hands-on experience in employing marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.)
  • Ability to efficiently handle work pressure
  • Experience in Employer Branding
  • Knowledge of marketing trends and best practice
