City Walk Social Media Marketer Job in Kenya

City Walk is a registered company in Kenya and has been in operations since 1991 with 26 branches. City Walk specializes in selling of elegant, unique and stylish footwear, bags, clothes and leather items.

We are seeking for experienced candidates for the position of social media marketer who will be placed in our branches to sell the company products such as shoes, clothes and perfumes.

Job Duties

The Social Media Marketer will administer the company’s social media marketing and advertising.

Administration includes but is not limited to:

  • Deliberate planning and goal setting
  • Development of brand awareness and online reputation
  • Content management
  • SEO (search engine optimization) and generation of inbound traffic
  • Cultivation of leads and sales

The Social Media Marketer is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers.

Other duties include:-

  • Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including:
  1. Develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers.
  2. Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written).
  3. Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales.
  4. Conduct online advocacy and open a stream for cross-promotions.
  5. Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts.
  6. Oversee design (i.e. Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, Blog, etc.).
  7. Design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns.
  8. Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation. Monitor online reviews and respond to each review.
  9. Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed.
  10. Compile reports for management showing results (ROI).
  • Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
  • Demonstrate ability to map out a comprehensive marketing plan. Drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics.
  • Develop organizational elements in order to implement a proactive process for capturing happy, loyal customer online reviews.
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company. Report notable threats to appropriate management.
  • Analyze campaigns and translate qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns.
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.


1. At least 3 years’ experience in Social Media Marketing. Experience in retail fashion industry will be an added advantage.

2. A degree or Diploma in Marketing

3. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.

4. Experience in managing a blog will be added advantage

5. Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.

6. Maintains excellent writing and language skills.

7. Highly creative individual who can come up with new ideas and new ways of using the social media platform

8. Graphic design knowledge will also be added advantage.
