Job Title: Branch Supervisor – Agricultural Inputs

Location: Narok / Eldoret / Kericho / Isiolo

Salary: 75K – 100K plus Commission

Our client is a well-established agricultural inputs supplier.

They seek to hire a well-experienced and result-oriented Branch Supervisor who will be in charge of overseeing the company’s revenue growth in his/her assigned branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver commercial and technical business plan
  • Ensure region profitability through revenue and margin growth
  • Ensure vertical growth in number of outlets and average sale per outlet serviced in assigned region as per set targets
  • Develop and manage account relationship in all channels; franchisee, retail, wholesale, farm-level, institutions, cooperatives, and wholesale
  • Develop and maintain distribution infrastructure (route-to-market) to ensure adequate coverage and route profitability
  • Ensure the shop and the Franchises are well stocked and managed with optimum stock levels and no product expiries or damages
  • Recommend training needs for staff, franchisees and farmers, identify business opportunities for the region and communicate progress in each weekly report
  • Recruit and manage franchisees, ensure they have all the required documentation.
  • Ensure 100% target achievement on all business units and field activities
  • Ensure 100% compliance to daily, weekly and monthly reporting
  • Prepare sales and activity forecast with each franchisee and follow up to ensure 100% monthly target achievement
  • Ensure all customers trade and operate within set trading terms. No overdue debts, non-invoiced sales
  • Coordinate and facilitate franchisee and farmer activities
  • Account for all field activities and expenses
  • Ensure all company vehicles & motorcycles in the region are well managed and serviceable
  • Ensure stock take is done on the last day of every month and quarterly
  • Ensure zero stock variances, nil damages and zero stock expiries
  • Overall responsibility for the dairy chiller operations and profitability

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Veterinary Medicine or a related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a busy commercial retail environment
  • Familiarity with distribution and route to market models
  • Clean driving licence
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Driven and goal oriented
  • Understanding of retail, wholesale & agricultural environment
