Restaurant Supervisor Job in Thika, Kenya

Our Client, in the Hospitality / Entertainment Industry in Thika Town, Kiambu County is seeking to recruit an experienced Restaurant Supervisor.

Position Title: Restaurant Supervisor

Reports to: Restaurant Manager

Role Objective: The individual must be an enthusiastic leader who ensures both staff and customer satisfaction at all times in the restaurant. The person should maintain exceptional standards and professionalism. This person should assist the Restaurant Manager to effectively run and attain set sales targets.


  • A creative individual with initiative and proactive ideas to generate sales
  • Excellent communicator able to interact confidently with clients from all levels in the society
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and take action immediately
  • General commercial awareness and knowledge of current business trends
  • Compile reports and oversee cash managemet
  • Ensure customer’s meals and drinks are prepared and served as per the set standards
  • Support the Manager to implement various procedures in operations
  • Set the service, quality standards, targets, and strive to achieve them with the team
  • Assist the Manager with wages control
  • Ensure there is adequate security in the restaurant at all times
  • Ensure that the service team are well groomed at all times
  • Pay attention to detail in all aspects of the customers stay at the Restaurant and resolve complaints promptly
  • Coach and Mentor team members to ensure they are motivated always and attain maximum performance
  • Delegate work effectively and fairly to all team members
  • Compile daily timesheets and duty rotas accurately
  • Convene all planning meetings with team members’ i.e. daily, weekly, monthly
  • Undertake any other duties as may be required by Management


  • O Level Certificate
  • Certificate of good conduct
  • Conversant with health and safety regulations
  • Diploma / Certificate in Hotel Service Industry is an advantage
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the same capacity of Restaurant Supervisor
