Head of Sales – East Africa

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Contract Type: Permanent

The Head of Sales East Africa ¡s a role performed by a driven, high-performing individual that will help the company meet our new business revenue growth targets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans, execute these sales plans and ensure that the team sell’s inline with our methodology & processes.

Territory focus will be Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda


  • Completed Tertiary Qualification (i.e. Sales);
  • 5-10 years New Business Sales experience with at least 5 years Management experience;
  • Successful new business sales track record;
  • Aggressive Hunter;
  • ERP / Software sales exposure (advantage);
  • Valid Drivers’ License & Own Vehicle;
  • Willing to travel;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization;
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise;
  • Demonstrate excellent situational people management skills — motivating, coaching, lead by example & apply supportive pressure


  • Building and managing team new business sales pipeline;
  • Hands-on, on-the-ground, enabling of sales team (closely with new business, inside sales, demand generation, telesales and researcher teams);
  • Exco level meetings and negotiation;
  • Assist with deal closer;
  • Maintain CRM records;
  • Building strategic sales plan that expands customer base and ensure strong presence;
  • Coaching and performance monitoring of sales team
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting relationships with client C-level to grow reference based sales;
  • Present sales, revenue reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
