Job Opening: Customer Relations Officer

Stonefield Company Limited (located in Awasi) whose core business is production and supply of construction materials including aggregate, paving blocks, building blocks and a variety of precast items is seeking to recruit a customer centric and self-motivated individual to provide a positive customer experience both at the point of sale and after the sale in order to gain competitive advantage for the company through customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Duties shall include:

1. Customer Service

  • Manage large numbers of incoming calls.
  • Build sustainable relationships through interactive communication to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Handle complaints; provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within appropriate time limits.

2. Communication Agent

  • Act as a liaison between the customer and other depts; e.g sales, accounts, production and logistics e.t.c
  • Update clients on product prices/reviews.
  • Update sales team about products availability/levels
  • Assist with placement and planning for delivery of orders in liaison with logistics team.
  • Update clients on tentative delivery time of their orders.
  • Communicate pending orders to all stakeholders by close of business.
  • Professionally manage customers’ expectations to ensure sustainable business relationship

3. Public Relations

  • Cold call existing/dormant clients to source for orders and enhance their satisfaction.
  • Forward/escalate feedback/concerns from customers to management for resolution in order to help build a better brand.
  • Send seasonal loyalty/appreciation texts to clients from time to time.
  • Facilitate filling of account opening forms and creation of customer accounts on ERP.

Required Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Diploma in Public Relations/Customer Service or any other relevant course from a recognized institution.
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar position/direct contact with clients.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong phone handling skills and active listening
  • Customer focused and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Problem solving skill, tolerant and attentive
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
