The Company: The organisation is a leading ICT solutions company with operations in Kenya and Tanzania carrying on the business of Information Technology through its 4 Core Divisions namely; Fiscal Solutions. Infrastructure Solutions, Business Software Solutions, Consumer Technology.
Business Software Solutions Division: Covers the full spectrum of retail industry software solutions including SME Retail and Hospitality, Enterprise Omnichannel Retail and Sales Force Automation. In addition to this the division offers integrated ERP solutions across multiple verticals. Key product partnerships include iVend Omnichannel Retail, Hansaworld ERP and SAP Business One.
Job Scope: This position is responsible for executing sales strategies, sourcing for new business and retention of existing customers.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Generate leads and work with vendor partners to generate new business
- Profile and qualify leads generated via different channels and gather initial meeting requirements
- Conduct presentations and product demos
- Work closely with technical pre-sales team to gather requirements and oversee solution demos and proof of concepts
- Present proposals / quotations and close business negotiations with prospects
- Account Management – Ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Pipeline management and reporting internally and with vendors
- Manage bid preparation with the technical pre-sales team
- Plan and attend internal and external events with vendor partners
- Participate in marketing and promotional activities
- Your role and development will include learning of the various products and services across all the departments of the company. Build your knowledge to be able to market the company as a whole and its products and services. Engage with key accounts from lead management to closing sales.
- Business Development / Operations
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Commerce, Marketing, Accounting or a related field from a recognized Institution.
- Experience in software solution sales e.g SAP Business One, iVend Retail will be an added advantage.
- Sales management and business development experience will be an added advantage
- Strict technical competency or knowledge of the ERP / POS software business is not a pre-requisite but will be an advantage. Candidates will undergo and attend local and overseas training.
