Job Vacancy: Water Technical Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
Directing, coordinating, controlling, monitoring and managing the company’s WATER technical operations and ensuring good operations and maintenance of infrastructure for quality water and sanitation services
Designing ail projects to be undertaken by the company
Management of water quality related challenges
Development of system for reduction of NRW (Non Revenue Water)
Proper management of the technical assets
Development of technical solutions for different customers
Developing departmental strategies, targets, policies, procedures and plans to facilitate achievement of overall company’s objectives
Taking responsibility for training, development and motivation of the departmental staff
Ensuring that the needs of the customer are effectively met
Any other duties allocated by the Managing Director
Qualifications
- Minimum HND Water Engineering from a reputable institution. Those registered with professional bodies will have an added advantage
- Diploma in water engineering plus 6 years experience and above can be considered
- Minimum of five (5) years and relevant post qualification working experience in a busy water sector institution, three of which must be in a senior position
- Have demonstrated ability to manage water and sanitation utilities with sound innovations
- Interaction with smart metering technology an added advantage
- Proficient with ICT skills
- Entrepreneurship and creativity are key to this job
- Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative
- Good report writing, communication skills and team player
- Conversant with the Public Procurement and Disposal Act 2005 and Disposal Regulations 2006
