Position: Front of House (FOH) Trainer

Our Client, a fully-fledged restaurant specializing in delivering a relaxed and memorable dining experience with its headquarters in Kampala, Uganda is urgently looking to recruit an experienced an experienced Front of House Trainer.

The FOH Trainer is primarily responsible for training and guiding performance of all FOH employees at our client’s establishment.

He/she must work fast and with a sense of urgency, while being friendly and supportive to all employees.

In all assignments, the FOH Trainer will uphold our client’s standards and enable employees to execute their responsibilities at a high level by performing the following duties;

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the highest levels of training standards at all the establishment’s Branches.
  • Utilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of the training programs
  • Manage the development, design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programs as well as ongoing learning opportunities across the organization in support of the Company’s needs and goals
  • Determine training needs by visiting restaurants, observing front of house staff, studying reports and conferring with Managers
  • Follow the establishment’s processes and systems
  • Supports the proper execution of all the establishment’s processes, systems, and standards
  • Adheres to scheduled Training Sessions and is willing to stay beyond when business or circumstances dictate.
  • Supports identification and development of future leaders among all FOH Employees.
  • Evaluates employee performance honestly and completely
  • Plan, design, implement, and follow-up on all projects as assigned by the establishment’s Leadership
  • Serves as subject matter expert [SME] for Training or other cross-departmental project teams
  • Manages all administrative tasks associated with each establishment’s training before, during, and after the Training Sessions in a timely fashion

Key Competencies & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Beverage or any other related field from a reputable institution
  • Track record of high performance in Similar operations (Preferred)
  • Must be energetic, enthusiastic and have a passion for FOH Service.
  • Must have worked in All FOH areas and have sound knowledge and practical capabilities.
  • Broad knowledge of POS Systems for restaurants
  • Minimum of two years restaurant supervisory experience
  • Minimum 3 years management experience in the Front of House desirable
  • Minimum 3 years Restaurant trainer experience
  • Training courses or certificates
  • Assessor, Moderator Certifications advantages.
