Call for Experts – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Activity, Kenya
Around the globe, RTI brings together private- and public-sector stakeholders to manage natural resources and promote sustainable livelihoods while conserving unique biodiversity.
By enhancing institutions, policy, and technical capacity, we improve WASH service delivery and strengthen forest and renewable energy systems and sector management.
We work with governments, communities, and key stakeholders interested in applying climate resilience frameworks, low-emissions development strategies, cost recovery approaches for service delivery, and other new tools and approaches.
We have delivered innovative, breakthrough solutions in key development sectors such as water and sanitation development in Nigeria and institutional capacity building.
RTI is currently seeking professionals for an anticipated USAID funded WASH project. The purpose of the project is to strengthen the water and sanitation institutions to improve access to water and sanitation and also to build a robust sanitation hygiene market to enable the adoption of higher quality latrines and county-wide access to hygiene products; ensure country-wide sustainable drinking water services to households and effective management of water resources in Western Kenya.
Candidates should be fluent in English and Kiswahili.

- Water rights/water allocation
- Social behavior change and demand reduction expertise
- Private sector engagement and development

- Monitoring, evaluation, and learning & GIS
- Urban Sanitation market research
- Utility finance including tariff development
- Management Information Systems
- Governance specialists
Experts should possess at least 8 years of relevant experience. Experience with donor funded projects such as USAID, World Bank, African Development Bank (AfDB), DFID preferred.
