Job Title: Parts Advisor – Workshop Counter

Job Purpose: The incumbent will ensure high level of customer satisfaction and exceptional service delivery in the sales process and contribute toward achievement of Business budget turnover.

Main Responsibilities of The Job

Managerial / Supervisory

  • N/A

Operational Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate processing of all orders received in the workshop & supply to job-card
  • Processing of quotation requests for workshop vehicles & constant follow up for conversion
  • Capturing of lost sales in the system to help in order generation
  • Provide customer service assistance in terms of technical advice and enquiries by service team
  • Raising & tracking of SOP/VOR orders for customers & advise upon arrival
  • Ensure timely delivery of customer orders from CPD & immediate supply to job cards
  • Using the EPC advice customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
  • Support department activities through active generation and implementation of kaizen ideas.
  • Ensure technicians are served without delay
  • Responsible for growing parts sales within the workshop
  • Ensure returned parts are handed back to warehouse & reversed on job-card
  • Manage & track WIP job cards due to parts & ensure quick supply

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role

  • A degree or diploma in a Technical field or Business related field

Minimum level of experience required to perform effectively in the role

  • 2 years’ experience in parts sales preferably within the automotive industry

Working Relationships

Internal customers

  • Service team: Prospecting and supplying parts requirements for the workshop
  • Sales team: For new vehicle customers for follow up on after sales parts support
  • CPD Team: For order delivery follow up

External Customers

  • Retail customers



  • Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Proven Selling skills
  • Basic Automotive Knowledge


  • Working knowledge of SAP DMB
  • Basic knowledge of EPC
