Our Client, a Global leader in the latest innovations in home appliances, consumer electronics and mobile communications to business innovations in digital signage, air conditioning, solar and LED lighting is urgently looking to recruit a versatile and enthusiastic Sales Engineer AC, B2B Division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall support of the AC B2B business plan to lay foundation for sustainable growth and market leadership in East Africa and other matters by performing the following duties;

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Achieve growth and hit sales, profit and award targets by successfully managing the sales engineering team
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of distributors in our east Africa market territories
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Present sales & award reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging demand and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Resolve problems of moderate to large scope where analysis of data requires the identification of obscure or undefined factors and decisions have significant impact on business performance
  • Improve relationships among planners, sales, marketing and finance, which will lead to effective knowledge sharing and an optimal consensus forecast to better guide the business
  • Closely collaborate with various internal B2B sales teams, (Pre-Sales, Direct and Channel) in order to ensure alignment with sales goals and strategies
  • Deliver technical presentations, training, demos and product overviews and deep-dives on product features. Participate in events (i.e. Tradeshow/Channel recruitment and training)
  • Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of B2B product and service offerings
  • Frequent travel to partner/customer facilities, remote facilities, industry events, and trade shows
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned as per business needs

Key Competencies & Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC related field or any other related field from a recognized institution
  • Must have at least 5 plus years of extensive HVAC experience as B2B Sales Manager with strong knowledge of HVAC products, product management, product marketing or product strategy role with well know international HVAC companies
  • Committed to continuous development through workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • The ability to write, read, interpret, explain, and act on thorough understanding of technical documents, engineering materials, or related documents
  • Ability to make professional business presentations in writing, through emails and reports, or orally, including complex business and technical matters to an audience of high technical, management, and operational experience
  • Excellent communication skills, exceptional presentation skills (Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint savvy)
  • Demonstrate ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders in a solution partner or customer organization
  • Should also be willing to travel frequently since our client cover several countries across East Africa
  • Organizational skills and the ability to be proactive and take initiative
