Position: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Nairobi

Our client, PERNOD RICARD is a worldwide co-leader in the wines and spirits industry.

They are seeking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager who will be reporting to the Head of Finance, East Africa.

Role Summary: To ensure delivery of stock to the final customer by coordinating the control of stock by managing people, processes and systems.

The scope includes Kenya and SD-Log, France Warehouses.

Warehouse Management

  • Stock available in the warehouse
    1. Manage stock via third party logistics provider
    2. Manage excess, obsolete and damaged stock
    3. Manage warehouse service delivery
    4. Reconcile stock on a monthly basis

Customer Service

  • Excellent customer services delivered
  1. Investigate and respond to customer complaints
  2. Documentation & Processing of POS Procurement
  • Ordering and Deliveries
  • In conjunction with Marketing and Trade Marketing, plans and coordinates the execution of POS Material to various regional commercial offices

Supply Planning

  • Planning Optimisation
    1. Challenge demand assumptions and propose / refine the plan
    2. Participates in key decision making in order to integrate planning and operational constraints financial, service, time)
    3. Drives performance and adapts plans to meet targets
    4. Models and articulates operational capacity
    5. Proposes and makes decisions on capital investments based on the long-term plan
    6. Improve processes, methods systems planning optimization
    7. Defines target KPIs to ensure improved business planning capability
  • Demand planning systems and tools
    1. Develop, use, and maintain Demand Planning software.
    2. Implementation and utilization of demand management software
    3. Refine systems and methods to continually improve forecasts

Stakeholder Relations

  • Productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders maintained
  • Liaise with brand owners
  • Liaise with internal departments
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with freight forwarders, warehouse 3PL partners and transporters
  • Consult with government authorities


  • Manage costs against approved budget

Reports and Tracking

  • Manage systems integrity and reporting to ensure both are clear and accurate
  • Monitor stock balance report and stock in transit reports for deviations from demand plan
  • Update and maintain product specifications in the local logistics database
  • Monthly EMEA Reporting
  • Inventory categorization data integrity

Employee Management & Motivation

  • Recruit, develop, manage and motivate talented staff


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or Warehousing and Distribution Systems or other relevant field.
  • 10 years in a warehouse environment
  • 4 years warehouse management experience
  • Forecasting, Freight Management, Import/ Export Procurement, Warehouse/ delivery, Pipeline Concept & Operations
  • FGI/ SKU Management, IT, Company & Product Knowledge, Operational Policy & Procedures
