Parliament Electrical Inspectors Jobs in Kenya

The Parliamentary Service Commission wishes to recruit energetic and results-oriented individuals to fill the following vacancies:

Inspector I (Electrical)

PSC Scale: PSC 8

1 Position

V/No: 15/2020

(a) Duties and Responsibilities

An Inspector I (Electrical) will be in charge of electrical work in a large Team of Artisans and Inspectors and will be responsible for;

(i) Installations, inspection, commissioning, testing and maintenance of electrical systems for diesel generating plants and machinery including low and medium voltage distribution services;

(ii) Installation and maintenance of electrical controls in buildings;

(iii) Repair and maintenance of electrical installation and controls related to catering equipment, lifts, boilers, cookers, water-heaters and general domestic appliances.

(b) Requirements for Appointment

For direct appointment to this grade candidate must have attained the Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Kenya National Examinations Council or its approved equivalent.

Be in possession of class “C” Electricians License.

Inspector II (Electrical)

PSC Scale: PSC 7

1 Position

V/No: 16/2020

(a) Duties and Responsibilities

This is the entry for Inspectors (Electrical). An officer at this level will be in charge of a small unit of artisans and will be responsible for;

(i) Inspection and maintenance of electrical installations in buildings;

(ii) Testing and maintenance of electrical controls related to fire detection equipment, cookers, water heaters and general domestic appliances and

(iii) Inspection and maintenance of electrical controls in diesel generating plants and machinery.

(b) Requirements for Appointment

(i) The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, C+ (plus), or its equivalent with a minimum of C + (plus) in Mathematics, English and Physics or Physical sciences; and

(ii) The National Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Kenya National Examinations Council or other approved equivalent qualification.
