The Financial Reporting Centre (FRC) is a government agency created by the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act (POCAMLA) 2009, with the principal objective of identifying the proceeds of crime, combating money laundering, and fighting the financing of terrorism.

In order to enhance institutional capacity to deliver on its mandate, FRC is seeking to recruit qualified and competent personnel to fill the folowing position:

COMPLIANCE AND REGULATION OFFICER

SIX (6) POSTS

The Compliance and Regulation Officer will report to the Senior Compliance and Regulation Officer.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:-

i. Registering reporting institutions;

ii. Developing compliance programmes and tools;

iii. Monitoring compliance to the Act by the reporting institutions;

iv. Inspection of reporting institutions to ensure compliance with the Act;

v. Undertaking investigations by the Centre under the Act;

vi. Liaising with regulatory/supervisory bodies and exchanging information on compliance;

vii. Sharing of compliance reports for regulatory action;

viii. Undertaking AML/CFT training and awareness raising; and

ix. Generating advisory reports on compliance and regulation.

Person Specifications

i. Bachelors’ Degree in law, Business Management, Accounts, Economics, Finance or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

ii. Working experience in banking, capital markets, insurance, pension management, SACCOs, real estate, or gaming, will be an added advantage;

iii. Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya; and

iv. Must be a citizen of Kenya.

iii. Demonstrate good analytical and problem solving skills;

iv. High level of judgement and integrity;

v. Proficiency in computer applications;

vi. Good knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering or Countering the Financing of Terrorism regime; and

vii. Good understanding of compliance framework; and

viii. Discretion in handling confidential information.
