The Financial Reporting Centre (FRC) is a government agency created by the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act (POCAMLA) 2009, with the principal objective of identifying the proceeds of crime, combating money laundering, and fighting the financing of terrorism.
In order to enhance institutional capacity to deliver on its mandate, FRC is seeking to recruit qualified and competent personnel to fill the folowing position:
RISK MANAGEMENT OFFICER
FRC GRADE 6
ONE (1) POST
The Risk Management Officer will report to the Senior Planning Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities:–
i. Designing and implementing an overall risk management framework and process;
ii. Developing annual risk assessment plans;
iii. Risk assessment and documentation of response strategies for mitigating risks;
iv. Following up with the responsible departments on implementation of recommended actions to address the identified risks;
v. Reviewing and updating the risk registers;
vi. Performing a risk evaluation of the FRC previous handling of risks and comparing potential risks with criteria set out;
vii. Risk reporting tailored to the relevant departments;
viii. Building risk awareness amongst staff;
ix. Providing periodic management reports on significant risks and mitigations.
i. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or relevant field from a recognized university;
ii. Professional Certification in IT Audit, Risk or IT Security e.g. CISM, CISSP, CISA, or CRISC required;
iii. CPA, CIA, CFE and related qualifications will be an added advantage;
iv. Knowledge in audit tools & techniques including process mapping, control identification & analysis and design of audit tests.
v. Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya; and
vi. Must be a citizen of Kenya.
