Senior Intelligence Research and Knowledge Management Officer Job in Kenya – Financial Reporting Centre (FRC)

The Financial Reporting Centre (FRC) is a government agency created by the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act (POCAMLA) 2009, with the principal objective of identifying the proceeds of crime, combating money laundering, and fighting the financing of terrorism.

In order to enhance institutional capacity to deliver on its mandate, FRC is seeking to recruit qualified and competent personnel to fill the folowing position:

The Senior Officer Intelligence Research and Knowledge Management will report to the Principal Intelligence Research and Knowledge Management.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:-

i. Developing strategic assessment reports in accordance with national and international requirements;

ii. Carrying out research on techniques of money laundering, terrorism financing and other financial crimes;

iii. Establishing and maintaining a knowledge management Centre;

iv. Creating and maintaining a database of information relating to money laundering, terrorism financing and other financial crimes; and

v. Providing internal and external service on intelligence analysis and policy development.

Person Specifications

i. At least four (4) years relevant experience in intelligence research in either Anti-Money Laundering, Counter Terrorism Financing, economic and commercial crimes or other organized crimes;

ii. Bachelors’ degree in Criminology, Law, Public Administration, Commerce, International Relations, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

iii. Masters’ degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;

iv. Supervisory Course lasting at least two (2) weeks will be an added advantage;

v. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya; and

vi. Must be a citizen of Kenya.

iii. Good analytical skills;

iv. High level of integrity;

v. Working knowledge in intelligence research;

vi. Proficiency in computer applications; and

vii. Demonstrate results in work performance.
