Job Description
- Demonstrate and maintain high standards service to meet and exceed guests’ expectations
- Promote and maintain good working relationships throughout the food production team
- Ensure that all food and other kitchen requisitions meet expected requirements
- Manage and control requests from the kitchen to ensure that optimum food production of all dishes is achieved within budgetary limits and controls.
- Ensure that stocks are kept at agreed levels so as to ensure smooth operations and avoid wastage
- Ensure consistency in the production of each and every meal
- In conjunction with the kitchen team, produce and present to our guests high quality menus keeping abreast of current trends
- Take action to minimize wastage at all stages of food production implementing controls, keeping records and making reports as required
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Hotel manager
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Food Production or Hotel/Catering
- Minimum three years working experience in similar role at a recognized hotel or institution
