Job Title: Parts Manager – Heavy Trucks
Location: Nairobi
Reports to: General Manager
Salary: 150k – 200k
Our client is a market leader in the Automotive industry handling Assembling, Repair and servicing of trucks and buses.
They seek to hire a well-experienced Parts Manager to oversee and steer the Parts department with focus on Parts Management, Parts sales, Stocks Management, Parts Price build-up, Parts Warranties and ensure that procedures and activities are horizontally coherent.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically structure and align the Parts departments and warehouse departments.
- Facilitate interaction between the company and suppliers in terms of the localization function and the applicable rates
- Prepare and present periodical reports on Parts Sales, inventory, staffing, profitability, customer complaints and parts warranties
- Promote and participate in weekly work meetings with Dealership, Workshop and Warehouse managers to follow up tasks, results and action plans.
- Manage Parts sales team and insure achievement of business targets.
- Review the monthly performance in collaboration with Dealership, Workshop and Warehouse managers to determine where improvements can be made.
- Analyze current procedures and activities to identify and present opportunities for improvement.
- Train and onboard new team members during induction
- Monitor performance of the Parts Sales team
- Maintain good relationships with customers by meeting and exceeding their expectations.
- Ensure that all the managers are with up to date trainings.
- Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering or in a related field
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position and a minimum of 10 years’ overall experience
- Heavy commercial Parts experience is a MUST.
- Knowledge of Heavy commercial parts, managing teams, parts warranties and stock management
- Leadership and supervisory track record
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Extreme organizational capacity
- Detail oriented and progressively strategic
- Excellent communication in English – written and oral
