Commercial Manager - Oil & Gas

Nairobi

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide leadership on all commercial matters, ensuring costs are minimized, and the variations to the works are captured, valued, and submitted for agreement in time.
  2. Manage top-line growth of the Sustainable energy solution business by agreed targets and expectations.
  3. In charge of Bulk sales, Retail sales, LPG Sales, and any new products that may be introduced.
  4. Prepare, submit, and negotiate extension of time, disruption, and prolongation claims while liaising with planning and other project delivery departments.
  5. Drive the business by being an active and visible presence within all target segments and with the end users.
  6. Develop the competence of Business Development Managers and Regional Sales Managers, focusing on coaching and mentoring.
  7. Develop a culture of proactive sales management.
  8. Develop and implement short- and long-term sales, marketing, and business development strategies.
  9. Represent the Company’s management team within Dealer Channels.
  10. In collaboration with RSM, Business Development Managers develop the sustainable energy solutions business within the specific market.

Job Requirements

  1. 10 Years experience in Sales and Marketing, preferably in the oil and Gas industry.
  2. Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business, Petroleum or equivalent
  3. Training in Oil and Gas related courses is an added advantage
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  5. Must be a strategic thinker and have strong negotiation skills
  6. Possess a collaborative mindset and work well as part of a team
  7. Superior time management abilities and capable of meeting deadlines
  8. Office Administration and Team Leadership Skills are required.
  9. Ability to build strong relationships with clients and industry contacts
