COMMUNITY ORAL HEALTH OFFICER

Bethesda Healthcare Services in Nandi Hills seeks to employ a Community Oral Health Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for day-to-day operations in the dental department.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common dental conditions;
• Conduct dental examinations and provide treatment for common conditions by providing oral hygiene dental services and supporting the dentist with diagnostic and preventive care measures
• Conducting temporary and permanent dental restorations;
  Reduce simple fractures of jaws, extractions
• Develop and implement oral health education initiatives targeted at patients, focusing on preventive care and oral hygiene best practices.
• Collect, analyse, and report on oral health data to inform service improvements and patient care strategies.
• Analyse and interpret results and advise the relevant authorities accordingly
• Participate in oral health demonstrations, exhibitions and health education to communities

Qualifications

• Diploma in Community Oral Health from Kenya Medical Training College or its equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Possess a current valid practising certificate;
