Human Resource Business Partner Officer –Performance Management, Learning and Development

Our client, a leading entity in the pension industry with a subsidiary company in Insurance Brokerage, is currently seeking a proficient Human Resource Business Partner-Performance Management, Learning and Development Officer to join their dynamic team.
Overall purpose:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) -Performance Management, Learning and Development will play a critical role in supporting multiple countries by driving strategic HR initiatives that enhance leadership development, performance management, positive employee relations, diversity and inclusion. The HRBP collaborates closely with Country Managers and leadership teams to align HR practices with business objectives, ensuring a high-performing and inclusive workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning and Development (L&D):
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, HR Director, and Country Managers to identify leadership development needs and design tailored programs.
- Support the development of a comprehensive leadership development strategy that aligns with organizational goals and fosters a culture of continuous learning.
- Ensure every employee has a learning and development plan every year, aligned with their career goals, role requirements and the organization's needs.
- Assist in delivering effective learning solutions such as workshops, coaching, and executive education to enhance leadership capabilities.
- Gather feedback and data to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of L&D initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with the learning and development policies and regulations in the various countries e.g. Nita in Kenya
Employee Relations (ER):
- Provide guidance to Country Managers and line managers on employee relations matters, ensuring consistent application of company policies.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues while cultivating a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
- Ensure ER practices adhere to local labour laws and regulations.
- Lead and contribute to employee engagement initiatives in partnership with the leadership team and the HR team
Diversity and Inclusion (D&I):
- Support the development and execution of a comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategy aligned with organizational values.
- Collaborate with the HR team, line managers and Country Managers to drive diversity initiatives, including recruitment, talent development, and leadership representation.
- Assist in raising awareness about diversity and inclusion, promoting inclusive practices, and enhancing cultural competence.
- Participate in monitoring and reporting D&I metrics to assess progress and recommend improvements.
Business Partnership:
- Cultivate strong relationships with CEOs, HR Director, Country Managers, and the leadership team, offering informed HR insights and guidance.
- Collaborate with HR teams in different countries to ensure consistent implementation of L&D, ER, and D&I strategies.
- Share industry best practices and trends related to the specialist areas.
HR Projects and Special Assignments:
- Collaborate with HR Director and other HR teams on various projects, ensuring timely and successful execution.
- Provide support for special assignments such as policy reviews, process improvements, and HR-related research.
- Contribute to cross-functional teams, bringing HR expertise to initiatives that enhance organizational performance.
Change Management:
- Support change management efforts related to HR initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions and effective adoption of new practices.
- Assist in communication efforts to keep employees and stakeholders informed about changes and address any concerns.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CHRP or CIPD are a plus.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on Learning and Development, Employee Relations, and Diversity & Inclusion.
- Strong understanding of global HR practices, labor laws, and cultural nuances across multiple countries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing successful L&D, ER, and D&I programs.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business needs into effective HR strategies.
- Change management expertise, including the ability to navigate and lead through organizational transitions.
