Marketing Officer - Sacco (Nairobi)

Terms of employment: Three (3) Years Contract

A medium-sized DT-Sacco in Nairobi seeks to recruit a qualified and competent individual for the position of Marketing Officer.

Overall Job Purpose: The Marketing Officer will be responsible for executing marketing and business development strategies and plans or initiatives to increase Sacco membership and uptake of SACCO's products, to improve its market position and achieve financial growth.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans to promote SACCO's products and services.
  • Attract new members and retain existing ones through marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Develop and promote a range of savings, loan, and investment products to meet members' needs and increase uptake.
  • Regularly conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, threats, member needs, and preferences in order to inform marketing strategies, product development, brand positioning, and brand equity growth.
  • Track and analyse marketing metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor member satisfaction and ensure that customer needs are addressed.
  • Manage and enhance the SACCO's brand identity and reputation through branding and communication strategies.
  • Manage and utilize digital marketing channels to reach members and increase engagement.
  • Organize and coordinate promotional events, workshops, and seminars to educate members, attract new prospects
  • Ensure marketing activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Lead the Marketing Executives team and provide performance reports.

Academic Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a business degree,
  • Membership in a marketing professional body is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in Marketing and Sales management within the Financial Industry.

  • Market research, competitor analysis, digital marketing tools, and brand building.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, creative problem-solving, and the ability to deliver impactful presentations.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach through excellent customer service management and strong business development skills.
