Job Summary:
The Consultant Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering top-quality training programs and workshops focused on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and practices.
The trainer will engage participants effectively to meet their learning objectives and contribute to the success of the program. They will also ensure that training materials are regularly updated and that delivery methods reflect the latest in adult learning principles and OSHA guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Facilitate OSHA Training Programs: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on Occupational Safety and Health, incorporating up-to-date OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices.
- Create and Organize Training Materials: Develop and maintain high-quality training procedure manuals, course materials, and visual aids tailored to client needs.
- Interactive Training Delivery: Employ diverse instructional techniques, such as role-playing, group exercises, case studies, simulations, and videos, to enhance learning.
- Stay Updated on OSHA Standards: Continuously review OSHA standards, best practices, and industry updates to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training materials.
- Conduct Workshops and Learning Experiences: Facilitate formal and informal workshops, incorporating adult learning principles for both small and large groups.
- Ensure Training Quality: Deliver engaging and effective training sessions that meet high standards for content and presentation, covering areas like workshops, webinars, and conferences.
- Practical Application of Learning: Draw from real-life workplace safety scenarios to make training relatable and impactful for participants.
- Submit Training Materials and Reports: Ensure all training materials, feedback, and post-training reports are submitted to IRES after each session.
- Report to Training Coordinator: Liaise regularly with the Training Coordinator to ensure smooth delivery of services.
Minimum Qualifications and Professional Experience:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related fields (Bachelors with significant experience will also be considered).
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health, with proven expertise in applying OSHA standards and conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Certifications: OSHA certification or any relevant professional certification is highly desirable.
- Training Expertise: Proficient in adult learning methodologies with experience delivering both basic and advanced Occupational Safety and Health training.
- Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with excellent verbal, written, and report-writing skills.
- Presentation Skills: Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging presentations with strong facilitation skills for diverse audiences.
- Technological Proficiency: Familiar with OSHA compliance software and other tools used in safety inspections and audits.
- Adaptability: Ability to stay updated on emerging trends in workplace safety and adapt training accordingly.
- Organized and Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
