Job Title: Sales and Marketing Manager

Reports to: General Manager

Industry: Hospitality

Location: Nairobi

Gross Salary: Ksh 300k

Our client is seeking to hire a Sales and Marketing Manager to develop and implement the annual sales & marketing plan as well as well as the annual budget

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting clear objectives which will lead to attaining the set budget
  • Ensuring that the monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales action plans are implemented effectively
  • Ensuring the optimization of sales opportunities both locally and internationally

The annual budget

  • Setting sales goals and objectives that will enable the achievement of the department’s targets
  • Development and implementation of the annual marketing plan, coordination of the marketing activities, as well as the annual sales and promotion programs
  • Ensure the achievement of the Windsor vision, mission, and goals, which should result in outstanding customer service.

Sales Action Plans

  • Developing ‘customer base/market segmentation’ necessary to meet all target sales forecasts and budgets
  • Develop new ideas in conjunction with concerned departmental heads in order to increase revenue
  • Attend departmental meetings regularly to discuss issues that affect the guests
  • Submit a monthly sales promotional reports, competitive pricing analysis report, plans for the following month, and sales analysis report,
  • Participate in regional and international trade shows/exhibitions where necessary

Clear sales Targets and market segmentation

  • Periodical target review and target performance appraisal conducted by your superior in alignment to the organization’s budget
  • Setting clear targets for all the sales team members
  • Review the targets on a weekly basis and communicate the performance to all the team members
  • Ensure that every sales teamer has a segmented market
  • Maximize on sales calls to achieve maximum yields
  • Always be informed about the competitors through benchmarking
  • Ensure maximum visibility of the hotel in the market

Management of the Sales & Marketing team

  • Conduct sales meetings and issue the report to the General Manager
  • Coordinate all the sales activities
  • Engage the sales team in team-building activities so as to get feedback from them
  • Ensure that you lead a highly motivated team

Qualifications and skills

  • A degree in sales and marketing from s reputable institution
  • Over five (5) years’ of experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry
  • Effective communication kills
  • Ability to lead a motivated team
