JOB TITLE: SALES MANAGER

INDUSTRY: MEDICAL SUPPLIES

LOCATION: NAIROBI

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meeting and surpassing monthly sales targets.
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly sales reports for upper management, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Establishing and carrying out strategic sales programs in order to grow the clientele and take market share.
  • Comply with the applicable healthcare sales rules and regulations.
  • Keep up on the features, advantages, and product expertise of the medical products.
  • Recruit, supervise and mentoring a team of sales personnel to meet sales goals
  • Providing sales employees with continuous professional development and training to improve their product knowledge and selling abilities.
  • Establish performance objectives, track advancement, and carry out frequent performance reviews.
  • Developing, allocating and managing sales-related budgets, forecasts, and expenditures
  • Ensure efficient resource allocation to optimize sales outcomes.
  • Investigating and assessing the market to identify new business possibilities and trends in the medical Supplies industry
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with important medical facilities, hospitals, and distributors.
  • Make sure that the administrative tasks associated with the onboarding of both new and existing facilities are properly documented and handled.
  • Address client complaints and problems in a timely and professional manner.
  • Make sure the sales force is knowledgeable and equipped to sell medical goods with effectiveness.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Marketing, Business, Biosciences, etc.).
  • At least 3 years of sales experience.
  • Solid background in medical or pharmaceutical supplies industry, including accomplishments in sales management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Willingness to travel across the country as required
  • Outstanding negotiation and customer service abilities.
  • Aptitude for analysis and problem-solving.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in basic software applications.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
