JOB TITLE: TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER

NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME

INDUSTRY: BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION

SALARY: KSH. 40,000 PLUS BONUS

JOB LOCATION: WESTLANDS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing market research and gathering client feedback to refine existing products.
  • Maintaining strong professional relationships with current clients and meeting new clients to expand sales territories.
  • Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition.
  • Explaining and negotiating contract terms with customers.
  • Maintaining and updating a record of all sales orders.
  • Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects.
  • Provide training and produce support material for other members of the sales team.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a Degree in Chemical / Water / Civil / Mechanical / Water and Waster Engineering
  • Must be aggressive in marketing
  • 1 year experience as technical sales is added advantage
  • Prospecting - proactively identify and qualify potential customers by developing contacts using referrals and pursuing leads.
  • Customer engagement and retention.
  • Timeliness in reporting - quality and accurate reports to inform on the average sales performance.
  • Market awareness - accurately understand market trends and analyse customer buying patterns.
