Description
A Company in Nairobi in the fuel retailing business is looking to fill the position of Oil Specialist for one of its Petrol Stations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lubes Dispensation:
- Dispense Lubricants to customers' vehicles with the correct type and quantity as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during lube dispensation operations.
- Handle and store lubricant products according to established safety protocols.
2. Customer Service:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, and assist them with lubrication or other needs.
- Provide information on Lube types, prices, and promotions as requested.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests courteously and efficiently.
3. Inventory Management:
- Monitor Lube inventory levels and coordinate with the Station. Manager to ensure an adequate and timely supply of products.
- Perform regular stock checks and reconcile inventory records to identify discrepancies.
- Order Lubricant products as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
4. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations governing the handling, storage, and dispensing of petroleum products.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on safety protocols and industry best practices.
5. Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records of Sales transactions, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports on fuel sales, inventory status, and equipment performance for management review.
- Train Fuel Attendants on lubricant products Knowledge and selling mechanisms.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as cash handling, invoicing, and record-keeping as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in petroleum area or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role in the petroleum industry or retail environment.
- Knowledge of fueling equipment, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent selling and up-selling skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage a team and ensure targets are achieved.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
