Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements, conceptualize design solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. User Research: Conduct user research activities, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand the needs, preferences, and pain points of stakeholders involved in cargo transportation and logistics operations.
  2. User Experience Design: Define user personas, user journeys, and interaction flows based on user research findings. Create wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups to illustrate design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders.
  3. User Interface Design: Design visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications that enable users to easily track and manage cargo shipments. Ensure consistency in design elements, including typography, colour schemes, and iconography.
  4. Accessibility and Usability: Ensure that the electronic cargo tracking system adheres to accessibility standards and best practices to accommodate users with diverse needs and disabilities. Conduct usability tests to identify usability issues and iterate on design improvements accordingly.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, and development teams to translate user requirements into actionable design solutions. Communicate design concepts and rationale effectively to stakeholders and solicit feedback throughout the design process.
  6. Prototyping and Testing: Create interactive prototypes using prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma) to simulate user interactions and validate design assumptions. Conduct usability testing sessions with end-users to gather insights and refine the design based on user feedback.
  7. Design System Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of a design system or style guide that defines design patterns, components, and visual standards for the electronic cargo tracking system. Ensure consistency and scalability across all user interface elements.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design. Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and optimization to enhance the overall user experience of the tracking system.
